The great wine lists of the world
Discover different visions and buying and consumption trends in other parts of the globe via some of the best wine lists in the world.
On the last day of the event, César Román (former sommelier at Le Chalet de la Forêt**) will take us through the great wine lists of the world. He will be accompanied by Pieter Verheyde, former sommelier at Hof van Cleve*** and owner and sommelier at the restaurant Terminus, one of the top places in Europe for lovers of the world’s greatest wines. A round-table discussion that will not only delve into the best wines on the planet to understand the key points of their success, but will also look at the current view of the Old World versus the perception of consumers in the New World: It will reveal historical and emerging regions; what American tastes are like, based on the experience of Pieter Verheyde, and what Asian tastes are like, according to the point of view of César Román. Both sommeliers will present iconic wines from Spain and around the world, talk about cultural transmission, purchasing and consumption trends, and offers detailed accounts of journeys and bottles.
